Alternative Easter Treats

Try these fitness treat recipes


Easter is almost upon us and we believe you've all earned yourselves an easter egg or two! but what if you're looking for a healthier alternative this year?


Well you are in luck, this weeks blog post is bringing you 3 sweet treat recipes with healthier ingredients than the normal offerings at this time of year.


Take a read and send us a photo if you make any of the following yummy treats:


1 - Chocolate chip baked oat cookies


40g Rolled Oats

1 Banana

250ml Milk

1 Egg

1 tsp Vanilla extract

2 tbsp Nut Butter such as peanut or almond

1 tsp Honey

1 tsp Baking Soda

1 tsp Salt

Handful Chocolate Chips

Place all ingredients minus chocolate chips into a blender and blend until smooth. Grease some small ramakin dishes with butter and pour in the mixture evenly. Add chocolate chips and place into a preheated oven at 375f for 25-30 mins. Test with a fork and if it

comes out clean then they are ready.


2- flourless chocolate muffins


2 ripe bananas 1/2 cup of smooth peanut butter 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp honey 1/2 cup of cocoa powder 1 tsp baking soda

Blend all ingredients in a blender until the consistency is smooth, pour mixture into muffin tray then place in a preheated oven at 350f for 18-20 minutes.


3- Almond butter fudge


two cups of dark chocolate

three tablespoons of raw coconut butter

two tablespoons of almond butter

1/2 cup of almond milk

1 tsp of vanilla extract

pinch of sea salt flakes


Melt the coconut butter, almond butter and chocolate together in a pan over a low heat, remove from heat and stir in almond milk and vanilla, pour mixture into a 9x5 inch pan, sprinkle in sea salt and place in freeze for one hour before cutting into 16 inch squares.
