High Intensity Interval Training

What is HIIT?

HIIT stands for high-intensity interval training. It's all about getting the best workout in the shortest amount of time. Using bodyweight exercises, resistance bands, free weights, kettlebells, medicine balls etc.

HIIT is popular due to the limited time it takes to complete the workout. Average 20-30 mins. The time frame is short due to the intense nature of the workout and the duration makes it easy to fit into modern schedules.

Health benefits

HIIT Training is a great way to improve cardiovascular fitness and Vo2 Max (the amount of oxygen your body uses during intense activity. It can also help lower blood pressure.

Burn fat after you've finished working out

How does that work?

HIIT brings your heart rate up and down throughout the period of exercises. Your heart-rate then takes a while to even out after you've finished. This means you can continue burning extra calories up to several hours after the workout. Win-Win.

HIIT can be performed in different ways, for different durations, using different exercises. So it's super versatile. With so many options you are unlikely to get bored
